Katrina Relief

Early Act Club at
Kuser Elementary School, supported by the Rotary Club of Hamilton, has donated five thousand dollars for books to grade school struck by Katrina.  Fourteen fifth-grade Early Act members are helping to make a big difference for hundreds of children in Gulfport, Miss., whose school was nearly destroyed in August by Hurricane Katrina. President-Elect Marie Varga helped coordinate fundraisers and collection of donations along with second grader teacher Nancy Potash.  The $5,000 raised will be used to purchase a gift certificate from Scholastic Book Co., which has specialized in providing children’s literature.
