Hamilton Rotary salutes a new President
and gives out Annual Awards
The Rotary Club of Hamilton Township celebrated its Annual Installation Awards Dinner at Cedar Gardens Banquet hall. Eileen Eversheim arraigned the evening’s festivities with a Hawaiian theme and the well attended event was a huge success. The outgoing Present, Robert Matuzsan, presented awards to those in the club that he feels earned them for the past years activities and passed the torch to the new President Tim Braddock.
Awards were given such as: The Spirit of Rotary Kurly Award to George Martin. The President’s Pot was awarded to Margaret Graser; Paul Harris Fellow awarded to Jean Gulden and Tom Guckin and the Rookie of the Year Award was awarded to Chris Weber. A new award to be given only this year was a special award called The Tom Hagen Award, which was given to Joe Scandariato. In the movie the Godfather, Tom Hagen was the advisor, Concierge, to the Godfather and President Robert felt that his past Rotary year was guided by his own Concierge, Joe Scandariato. Joe accepted the award to the music from the Godfather.
