District recognized
Program sets a new record!
For those who are learning what Rotary is and how we operate, Rotary is broken down internationally by districts and Hamilton’s district is #7510.
Last school year, District 7510 recognized and honored the Hamilton Rotary for it’s “backpack program” which fills dozens of backpacks with the necessary school needs, pencils, notebooks, glue, etc. and gives them to needy children for free. Well, this year the Hamilton Rotary distributed almost 70 backpacks! Almost double last year’s total.
Special thanks is given to the people pictured above (from left to right) Club President, Robert Matuszan, program coordinator Margaret Graser and Club Past President, Frank Mancino for a job extremely well done!
Rumor has it next year’s total may top 100 - interested in getting involved? Come to a Rotary lunch Wednesdays at Cedar Gardens R. 33 in Hamilton @ 12:15pm.
